Are you or someone you know interested in learning to play the guitar? One of the most
effective ways to learn an instrument is with one-on-one instruction. I have been
teaching guitar in the Kitchener Waterloo area for several years and my lessons can help
you get the skills, technique and education necessary to play the music you enjoy.
Each student receives lessons that are customized to their age, ability, personal goals and
musical interests. Lessons are given in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and follow
the Royal Conservatory of Music - Classical Guitar guidelines.
During your lessons you can expect to learn everything you need to know to become a
true musician. If you are a beginner, we will start at the very beginning with reading
notes, proper posture and hand technique, and playing simple pieces. For those who
already have a background with guitar - we will determine where your skills are at and
continue from there with technique, scales, solos and duets, and discussions of harmony
and musical theory. Lessons can progress to: musical performance, composition,
advanced musical theory, harmony, counterpoint, and history.
